The Artist Behind
the Movement
Every sculpture tells a story of patience, precision, and passion.

Hand-Made Kinetic Artwork
Jon's Creations specializes in handcrafted kinetic sculptures that utilize gravity as a fundamental design element. Each rolling ball sculpture, marble machine, and ball run is meticulously crafted by hand. The business offers both custom commissions and pre-designed pieces suitable for homes, offices, lobbies, and businesses of any size.
Jon works individually with clients to develop personalized pieces. Pricing depends on the framework's dimensions rather than a fixed rate structure, allowing flexibility for various budgets and space requirements.
See the Creation ProcessInspired by the Masters of Kinetic Art
Jon's passion for kinetic art was ignited by the 2007 film Fracture, starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, which prominently featured a mesmerizing rolling ball sculpture in Hopkins' character's home. That captivating piece sparked a journey into the world of marble machines and led Jon to discover George Rhoads (1926-2021), the pioneering American artist who brought rolling ball sculptures into public consciousness. Rhoads created his first ball machine in the late 1950s and went on to install his audiokinetic sculptures in airports, science museums, shopping malls, and children's hospitals worldwide. His philosophy that machines themselves can be works of art—with visible, understandable mechanisms that demystify how things work—continues to influence kinetic artists today. Like Rhoads, Jon creates sculptures where balls travel through carefully engineered paths of loops, spirals, ramps, and tracks, using only gravity to create captivating motion that sparks wonder in viewers of all ages.
